Ummah

Search the Quran, hadith and tafsir in French, English or Arabic. Paste a hadith someone forwarded on WhatsApp and Ummah finds the closest narration in the nine collections, with its reference and grade, or says it found nothing. A small wiki sits on top, where every sentence cites a verse or a hadith and every edit is reviewed. It shows texts and references, not rulings.

What's interesting about it

• 6,236 verses, 36,108 hadith and the al-Mukhtasar tafsir, indexed in Meilisearch with hybrid keyword and vector search.
• Embeddings come from a self-hosted multilingual MiniLM (int8 ONNX, 384 dimensions) on my own server; the corpus was embedded locally, and no third-party AI is used for search.
• The checker scores forwarded text against the narrations by wording and by meaning, and every check becomes a public page so the next person gets the answer at once, with phone numbers and e-mails masked.
• Wiki on Convex with revisions, roles and a review queue; sign-in through Zaleo Auth.
